Geegeez Racing Club: Our New Baby, It’s A Boy!
Great news, dear reader, from the sales ring at Tattersalls in Newmarket yesterday.
Julia managed to secure a very fine looking three year old colt (soon to be gelding!), called Khajaaly, formerly owned by Hamdan Al Maktoum and trained by Ed Dunlop.
A 140,000 Guineas yearling, Khajaaly has had seven runs to date and his last two have been his best.
On his penultimate start, over Lingfield’s turf 7 ½ furlong course, he finished a staying on 4th, beaten less than two lengths.
Then last time out, just this last Saturday, he was 2nd, beaten under a length, again staying on over a full mile.
He carried a fair amount of weight the last day, and maybe takes a bit to get fit (hence his improvement this season). That’s my unknowledgeable interpretation rather than anything sensible from the trainer, mind!
Tomorrow, the vet will visit and leave with two of Khajaaly’s prized possessions (he won’t be needing them!), and then he’ll be straight into work, with the plan to get him to the track around the beginning of August.
This is of course an exciting time, and I’ll bring more news on progress in a couple of weeks. Khajaaly’s race record is listed below (click the image to see it in full screen) and, if you have an RP account, you can watch his races too – his last two are full of promise.
There are still a (very) few shares left – eight at the time of writing – so if you want to join us for the year, go to http://www.geegeez.co.uk/geegeez-racing-club/ to sign up (or drop me a line for Weatherbys account details if you prefer).

You might have noticed a couple of changes on the blog in the last day or two. Firstly, the pop-up window that greets some of you (especially new users) has changed and now contains a short video introduction. If you’ve already signed up to receive Geegeez updates, just click anywhere on the page as soon as it starts going blue, and that thing will disappear.
Its purpose is to encourage new visitors to register for the same (hopefully entertaining) updates you currently receive.
If you’ve watched it, you’ll note that it talks about two free systems. Regular readers will have these already. However, if you haven’t got them – the Chase Outsiders (nice 40/1 third t’other day) and 2yo Bomb systems – you can download from the link below.
Two Year Old Bomb System
The other change to note is the introduction of more racing news here at Geegeez. Each day, there will be two or three news items appearing in the blog feed so you can get a digest of what’s happening in the world of racing, as well as your occasional dose of Bisogno bluster, and of course betting system reviews.
Indeed, on that last point, many thanks to the couple of hundred of you (!) who volunteered to help trial betting systems / services. I will be in touch shortly to move this forward.
For those who prefer to read, there will be many more reviews and trials on the blog, as per your feedback in the survey (more on that next week).

Now, if you’ve already got those systems and as promised, I’ve another freebie for you today as well. This one does have a small string attached, but is still worth it in my opinion.
There have been a fair number of you commenting recently that you’ve been caught out by one betting system scam or another, and – in truth – it’s pretty easy to get suckered in by the false promises and sexy website graphics.
But here’s a short guide, full of common sense, which will help you swerve the unsavouries and keep you on (or close to) the straight and narrow.
You’ll need to register to get this one but, as with everything else (including the Geegeez stuff), if you’re uncomfortable with that just click the unsubscribe link in the email that sends you the guide, and you’ll not be troubled further.
OK, without further ado, click here to get a copy of the scam-busting guide. (Note, you will need to register in the pop up box to get this).
That’s all for today. Remember, if you want to join us in the Geegeez Racing Club Khajaaly syndicate, I’m running out of space, so get to http://www.geegeez.co.uk/geegeez-racing-club/ pronto!
Bye for now.
Matt
