THURSDAY 25/10:
Carlisle:
General stats: Tim Walford saddled a 20/1 winner at Pontefract on Monday and told us that he had some nice horses for the ‘winter season‘. Tim has one entry on the card which is Uno Valoroso in the scheduled 3.25 event, with the trainer boasting a 25% record at the track which is backed up by five points of level stake profits.
Class 3 handicap chase scheduled for 3.55: Favourites have won three of the five renewals.
Intermediate handicap hurdle scheduled for 4.30: We still await the first successful market leader following seven contests.
Ludlow:
General stats: John Ferguson has won with all three runners saddled at Ludlow thus far and the trainer held two options at the meeting at the time of writing.
Class 4 handicap hurdle event scheduled for 4.50: Only one of the last ten favourites has prevailed.
Southwell:
General stats: Gary Moore and John Gosden both offer a 34% strike rate at Southwell, though Saeed Bin Suroor’s rare raiders have produced a 42% ratio. On the riding front, Josh Baudains figures are to be applauded, with a 37% S/R backed up by fifty-two points of level stake profits. Jimmy Fortune is another jockey to keep an eye on via his 45% figure during the last five years.
Wolverhampton:
General stats: Paul Rich is a name to keep on the right side at Wolverhampton given his 35% strike rate (6/17) which is backed up by an LSP reading of eighteen points.
