Zaru ran fairly well yesterday, though his jumping was less than polished, and he came home in sixth place of the twelve runners at 18/1. Ultimately, though, that’s a loser and we’re off in search of a winner this afternoon, at what may unfortunately be the last ever meeting at this track, in the…

2.10 Hereford

In his relatively short time as a trainer in his own right, Charlie Longsdon has made a real name for himself, and has positive stats at a fair  number of tracks, one of which is here at Hereford.

His eleven winners from 41 runners have been worth a tremendous 111.88 points profit, and today he saddles a single runner, No No Bingo.

This fellow looks progressive, and won on his penultimate start in a two and a quarter mile soft ground handicap chase. This being a two and three-eighths of a mile soft ground handicap means conditions look pretty suitable.

The jockey is SotD’s mate, Noel Fehily, again, so no particular worries on the pilot score. It is a competitive handicap but No No Bingo is just two pounds higher than when winning two starts ago, and on the same peg as when second last time out, and ought to have every chance at 11/2 BOG with BetVictor. Win only is what the record will show.
