Stat of the Day Update: 17/12/12 to 31/12/12

December ultimately proved to be somewhat of a disappointment as we failed to recoup the losses from earlier in the month, leaving us with an overall deficit of 6.5pts over the entire month. We don’t like losing money, nor do we like making excuses. We just hold our hands up and admit we had a bad month.

However, as this is Stat of the Day, a statistical service built around past performance, it would be remiss of me not to mention the results from December 2011, where we also struggled, finishing with just 3 winning bets from 26 (4/26 this year) and a monthly loss of just over 12pts (-6.5pts this year). That isn’t, of course, to suggest we’re happy with December 2012’s performance, but we’re not entirely surprised.

January 2012 was, however, a good month (11/30 for +32.8pts), so we’re hoping history continues to repeat itself and long-standing readers/followers of SotD will know that this is a long-term project that will inevitably have the associated peaks and troughs.
