World Hurdle Tipping Competition: Day Two

Who will replace Big Buck's as World Hurdle winner?

Who will usurp Big Buck’s as World Hurdle winner?

Well, that was fun. 🙂

220 of you entered the tipping fray yesterday, with a pair of tickets for Ladbrokes World Hurdle day at Cheltenham up for grabs.

And only two players managed to find both winners, despite them only being sent off at odds of 5/1 (Vinetta) and 3/1 (after R4 deduction, Patriotic).

What does that mean? Well, if you’re Mark or Paul, congratulations, you have the honour of leading the pack into day two.

But, with a lead of just three points over 35 others who correctly nominated Vinetta, there is still all to play for.

In fact, if like me you drew a blank yesterday (actually, I had one non-runner and a 33/1 loser!), you’re only nine or ten points off first place. One tidy winner during the rest of the week can easily make up that deficit, so don’t lose heart just yet!

And, more importantly, even if you didn’t get to enter yesterday, you can still enter today, although naturally you’ll be playing catch up and will start from -2, to make it fair to all. That would mean you’d be ten points back on the leaders so, as I say, it’s certainly not insurmountable.

Anyway, to today’s races, which are…

3.05 Lingfield

3.15 Southwell

(Click the links to be taken to the new Geegeez racecards, now with properly displaying silks! Still some work to be done on the cards, but they’re getting there).

As per yesterday, please leave a comment below with race time, horse name and, if you want, a bit of fluff on why you like it. Again, as per yesterday, I’ve left an example of what I mean.

Good luck!

Matt
