Stat of the Day, 20th March 2013
After a bad run expect a good run, or so the saying goes. And two nice priced winners on the bounce have changed the mood somewhat at SotD Towers. Burgoyne was sent off 7/1 yesterday to join the previous day’s 6/1 victor in the triumphant alumnus column of this, erm, column!
Today, there’s a race which caught my eye straight away, and it’s the…

He runs just the one hurdler today, Moss Cloud. On the form of his only rules run, he’s got a bit to find with some of these. But… take a closer look and something interesting unfolds. Our man, Son of Ginger, won this race last year. Hmm. Hello… he also won it in 2011. Hmmm. Blimey, he also won it in 2010. Hmmmm. Well I never did, he only went and won it in 2009 as well. His hurdles record at the track is excellent, and this horse is perfectly bred for a real slog in the mud (nags by Cloudings love the mud), and – all other things being equal – it would be reasonable to assume that McCain had other options for this race, in his quest for the nap hand of five wins in a row.
That’s enough for me and, in a warm race, I’ll split my stake win and place on Moss Cloud at 13/2 Best Odds Guaranteed with BetVictor.
Of course, prices can change, so make sure you…
