Daily Dabble, 2nd April 2013
Nothing back for us yesterday, as it was another of those one from two days. Madame Jasmine failed to fire in our opener, eventually coming home in 7th position. She was admittedly the more speculative of the two selections, but her demise meant the run from Goochypoochyprader was rendered pretty much useless to us.
As it happened, this one attracted plenty of market support, was backed in from 5/1 to become the 11/4 favourite and duly finished third. I know some of you back both selections as E/W singles too, but for us, it’s a nil return.
Today, we’re going cross codes starting at…
My Viking Bay is the selection here having finishes second and first on his only two other previous visits to Exeter, including being the runner-up in this very contest last year. He has been placed twice from three attempts at today’s distance and was a winner here just two races ago.
I’m hoping that he’ll at least make the top three at his current 6/1, giving us a shot at the…
I’ve gone with Keep Kicking here and although 4/1 looks a little short for an E/W bet, I’m quite confident that he can actually go on to win the race outright. Although this is a maiden contest, he has already won two bumpers, including one here on Kempton’s polytrack over 2 miles at the back-end of January. He has since had a couple of outings at today’s mile and a half trip, finishing second and fourth at Lingfield at Wolverhampton respectively. The trip will suit him and his previous winning experience / form is the best in the race for me.
The win double pays 34/1 with bet365, and is best odds guaranteed. The place double pays just 3/1 today, but I’m hoping that this is just a safety net for us!
Back My Viking Bay and Keep Kicking in an each way double with bet365 with the win part paying 34/1 (Best Odds Guaranteed)
