More woe yesterday. Moving on…
Mr Moonshine was going way too far last time when lining up in the Grand National, and this two and a half mile trip on soft ground looks ideal. He’s dropped eye catchingly in the weights and is expected to run well today in a grade in which he’s a three time winner.
I’ll combine him with…
Ian Williams and Stevie Donohoe are often a ‘job’ partnership, especially when the money is down, so it’s interesting that there’s been cash for soft ground bumper winner, Chapter Five, this evening. She’d largely failed to get competitive subsequently, when racing around a mile, and this step back up in trip and on ‘juicy’ ground could see a return to form.
She was fourth last time out on her first run for a couple of years and, assuming that’s brought her on, she’ll be fit and ready. She’s around the 10/1 peg.
Back Mr Moonshine and Chapter Five in an each way double with Ladbrokes, the win part paying 83/1 (Best Odds Guaranteed)
