A winner and a loser yesterday, so still no draw, and this transitional period shows no signs of getting any easier for us. We’ll plough on in search of better fortune, starting today in the
A very decent race for a Monday – a Class 2 handicap no less – and I like the look of Sir Reginald. This fellow has been placed on five of the six times he’s tried today’s six furlong trip, a streak which includes two wins, one on good ground. Class 2 is fine for him, and he’s run well fresh in the past. 11/2 looks reasonable.
Course and distance specialist, Admirable Duque, has won five of the six times he’s raced over this track/trip. It’s a competitive heat here, but he thrives on a decent pace and this mile and three quarters distance, and looks to have his plum conditions this evening. He’s won in this grade too, and 12/1 is too big despite there being plenty of dangers.
