It started well enough yesterday, as Missunited ran an excellent race to finish 2nd of 7 at 7/1, giving us a shot at a place double, but Uncle Brit was under par and never mounted a challenge of any description, coming home 7th of 8.

One of out two isn’t disastrous, but it doesn’t bring us any profit. So we move on to today, where I’m going for a quick fire back to back double starting with the…

2.50 Ffos Las

Where Petroupetrov  is a consistent sort in this type of race and is 131633 (+32pts) at today’s 3m trip. Despite his last victory being almost three years ago, he makes the frame consistently (4 from the last six) and should be there or thereabouts today. Both his previous wins have been on good ground, so this should also suit him here and he’s currently 5/1 (1/5 odds for the place) with BetVictor.

3.20 Ffos Las

Wester Ross caught the eye with a much improved performance at Market Rasen when 3rd last time out and if his jumping is sound today, looks set for another big run. He has plummeted down the weights of late and could quite well be thrown in on his current mark. The visor is back on today (hung right last time) and Adam Wedge retains the ride taking a further 3lbs off. This is the horse’s best chance of a win in recent times and the 7/1 (1/5 odds for the place) on offer at BetVictor looks generous.

The double pays 47/1 and the place part is priced at just over 7/2 (3.8/1), both with BetVictor (BOG, of course!).

Back Petroupetrov and Wester Ross in an each way double with BetVictor, the win part paying 47/1 (Best Odds Guaranteed)
