Daily Dabble, 7th May 2013

As expected Petroupetrov ran his usual decent race, but the 10 yr old didn’t have enough to trouble the leading runners, finishing in 4th place at 6/1, missing out on a place by just over 4 lengths, but he was well clear of the rest of the pack. This, of course, meant the second race was irrelevant and as such, the withdrawal of Wester Ross neither mattered here nor there to us, other than for me to make a mental note of his reappearance.

Hopefully, we can get back to winning ways today starting with the…

4.40 Kempton,

Where Dream Catcher  is as long as 6/1 with William Hill, despite being as short as 9/2 elsewhere. This 5yr old grey has had a 6 month rest after a decent spell from July to October last year recording figures of 113542 with all three of his career wins coming over today’s trip. If he hits the ground running on his return to the track, I’d expect him to at least make the frame today, giving us a shot at the…

6.40 Catterick

Eijaaz is a 12 yr old veteran who absolutely loves it here at Catterick. Eight of his twelve career victories have come here and his record in non-handicap contests here is seven wins and seven places from just 16 runs. The 43.75% strike rate produces 13.5pts (84.4% ROI) profits, whilst his E/W strike rate is a phenomenal 87.5% for 26.4pts (82.5% ROI) profit.  The 8/1 (1/5 odds for the place) on offer at BetVictor looks quite attractive here, he’s generally a touch shorter elsewhere.

The double pays just over 58/1 and the place part is priced at over 9/2 (4.72/1), both with William Hill (BOG, of course!).

Back Dream Catcher and Eijaaz in an each way double with William Hill, the win part paying 117/2 (58.5/1) (Best Odds Guaranteed)
