The calm before the storm…
Next week will bring five days of stellar flat racing action, with a seriously international feel to it. As well as the much-vaunted Animal Kingdom (winner of the 2013 Dubai World Cup, and the 2011 Kentucky Derby), Wesley Ward weturns with a waft of wichly-talented two-year-olds; the Aussies are back for a crack at the sprints; and various other Euro nations will be taking swipes at the Group race fare.
Throughout this week, Geegeez will bring you a host of facts and figures aimed at arming you with the material data for next week’s puntfest, and of course, next week itself, I’ll have full day-by-day previews of the action.
But that’s not all. I’ve been promising various new additions to the site for ages, and now it’s time to see them in action. Well, nearly. 😉
A small, and carefully selected, team of testers have been putting the tipping league through its paces, and they’ve enjoyed the experience, without finding too many bugs. That’s good news, because it means our first prize competition will start next week in time for Royal Ascot. There’s £100 worth of BetVictor betting vouchers up for grabs, and to win it you just need to record the best tipping performance over the five days of the Royal meeting. (Note, only tips at the Royal Ascot meeting will count towards the competition).
If you want to get a head start by registering for the tipping league now, you can, by clicking here.
Going forwards, registration on geegeez will allow you access not just to the tipping league and its prizes, but also to special race form reports, and some more advanced betting features too. Don’t worry, though, registration is free. And it always will be. 😀
Feel free to limber up for next week by adding in some tips on the league, and see if you can rule the roost this week, by clicking the ‘league’ tab and then the ‘week’ tab. It’s all pretty self-explanatory.

As well as the tipping league, we’ll have the new, improved race cards service. The geegeez race cards are already about the quickest on the web, and we’ve now made it easier to review the horse’s form, either inline (by clicking the Runner: form link) or in a new window (by clicking the horse name).
Fast results, within five minutes of the end of a race, and full results – within fifteen minutes – will be coming in a few days’ time, and perhaps even tomorrow.
Plus, when you’ve found your selection, you can click the live odds to bet directly. Again, that should be ready in the next couple of days.
There’s a lot (lot!) more besides, which will follow in due course, but for now, get signed up for the tipping league, and place a few virtual wagers!
Matt
