AIDAN O’BRIEN (10 winners from his last 21 runners, 48% strike-rate): Only had 9 winners in the UK from 54 runners, but, that said, have still banked £1.9m in total prize money from that lot! In his native Ireland the Ballydoyle handler is firing in plenty of winners of late with Sea Siren and Kingdom decent winners for them at Fairyhouse on Sunday. They are currently on 65 successes in Ireland from 209 runners (31%), while considering a lot of theirs go off at short prices they are actually showing a +£4 level stakes profit on all their Irish runners this season. Look for any 2 year-olds the run in Ireland too as they are 20 from 46 (43%), while 36 of those juvenile runners have finished 4^th or better!

JOHN GOSDEN (6 winners from their last 20 runners, 30% strike-rate): There was (and still is) a lot of controversy surrounding last week’s Falmouth Stakes winner, Elusive Kate, but that was their second winner of last week’s Newmarket July Meeting from just 5 runners, while 4 of those 5 HQ runners finished in the top 3. They are now on 44 winners for the season, so still have a fair way to go to get near the 119 they managed in 2012. They’ve banked just over £800k in total prize money too and will be hoping to add to that haul in the second half of the season, especially as they pocketed £3.7m in 2012!. They’ve only had a couple of 2 year-old winners this season, but with 32 of their successes coming with their 3 year-olds then this is certainly the age group to have on your side.

SIR MICHAEL STOUTE (7 winners from his last 19 runners, 37% strike-rate): With 47 winners the Stoute camp are ticking along very nicely indeed, especially as they are firing in the winners at an impressive 24% strike-rate too. They are also not too far off the £1m mark in total prize money banked and if things continue in this vain then this looks set to be their best season for some time after a few lean seasons by their high standards. Not had many 2 year-old runners (6), with one of those going in, with 34 of their winners coming with their 3 year-olds. In terms of track stats looks for anything they run at Beverley, Redcar, Carlisle, Pontefract or Newcastle – all tracks they do very well at from their limited runners.

PETER BOWEN (5 winners from his last 13 runners, 38% strike-rate): The Bowen bandwagon rolls on with three more winners over the weekend. This puts them on 2 flat winners from just 6 runners, but being a jumps yard they are now on 35 winners from only 114 runners (31%), and considering they notched 48 in the whole of the 2012-13 campaign then this looks like being a huge season for them. They are also operating at a +£43 level stakes profit with their NH runners. Looking at their NH track stats make a note of anything they send to Southwell, Fakenham, Perth, Plumpton and Carlisle.

JONJO O’NEILL (7 winners from his last 20 runners, 35 strike-rate): Winners at Southwell and Stratford on Sunday were backed up with two more at Newton Abbot on Monday, and this means they are already on 31 winners for the season. They are also showing a healthy +£14 level stakes profit with their runners this term, while pay special attention to an NH Flat runners at the moment – they are 2-from-6, while 5 of their last 6 have finished in the top two. They are also having the odd flat runner too, but so far in 2013 are just 3 from 37 with their runners on the level. As the NH season moves on look for any Cartmel runners as they are 3 from 7 there and 2-from-2 with their hurdlers.

GORDON ELLIOT (3 winners from his last 9 runners, 33% strike-rate): It’s no secret their Perth runners around this time of the year are feared and with a double up at the  Scottish venue last weekend, albeit with two well-fancied runners, then it’s clear their horses are in decent form at the moment. They are now on 7 winners from 20 UK NH runners (35%), while in Ireland they’ve sent out 11 winners. They are also showing a nice level stakes profit in both countries with their runners this term. They generally do better with their hurdlers with 85 winners to 34 over the last 5 seasons, but all their NH Flat runners should be feared with a 38% strike-rate at present over that same period. I’ve already mentioned Perth, but also note any runners at Musselburgh, Southwell, Newton Abbot and Uttoxeter – all tracks they do very well at too.
