Daily Dabble Update, 15th to 21st July 2013
Daily Dabble Update: 15/07/13 to 21/07/13
A terrible week for the doubles, if I’m honest. A move to more fancied horses, which should have more chance of winning has actually led to a worsening of results. The only saving grace is that a losing day only costs us 1pt instead of 2 on an E/W double.
We came close to landing a 9.2/1 double last Monday and closer still to landing one at 7.91/1 yesterday. Either of which would have made the week a profitable one, but the stuff between those two days was pretty dire, it must be said.
Two winners from fourteen simply isn’t good enough and whilst the 50% place strike rate provides a few crumbs for comfort, we’re not going to get fat(ter) off scraps. Much better is needed and we’ve ten days left in the month to turn this around.
