Daily Dabble: Update

Daily Dabble Update: 15/07/13 to 21/07/13

A terrible week for the doubles, if I’m honest. A move to more fancied horses, which should have more chance of winning has actually led to a worsening of results. The only saving grace is that a losing day only costs us 1pt instead of 2 on an E/W double.

We came close to landing a 9.2/1 double last Monday and closer still to landing one at 7.91/1 yesterday. Either of which would have made the week a profitable one, but the stuff between those two days was pretty dire, it must be said.

Two winners from fourteen simply isn’t good enough and whilst the 50% place strike rate provides a few crumbs for comfort, we’re not going to get fat(ter) off scraps. Much better is needed and we’ve ten days left in the month to turn this around.

Selections & Results:15/07/13 to 21/07/13
(1pt win doubles)
15/07: won at 13/8 & 3rd at 5/2
16/07: Both runners unplaced (both 5th!)
17/07: Both runners unplaced
18/07: 2nd at 6/5 & unplaced
19/07: 2nd at 3/1 & unplaced
20/07: 2nd at 5/2 & unplaced
21/07: Won at 15/8 & 2nd at 21/10 (after a 40p rule 4)

15/07 to 21/07:
2 winners from 14 = 14.29%
7 placers from 14 = 50.00%

0 winning bets from 7 = 0.00%

Since switching to the 1pt straight win doubles, we’re now at 1/11!
P/L: -5.4875pts
ROI: -49.89%
