Weekend Notes
Just a few weekend notes for you…
Firstly, some sad news.
It’s been brought to my attention that Dr Dennis Coote, co-author of the very popular Fancy Fillies system of a few years back, has lost his long battle with cancer, passing away last Friday.
Dennis, along with his partner, Hazel, had been around the betting system arena for many years and built a reputation for always playing with a straight bat. On behalf of geegeez and myself, I’d like to send my condolences to Hazel, and I’m sure we all wish her strength at this difficult time.

Now, it won’t have escaped your attention that the English Premier League football season kicks off tomorrow. If you’re one of those people who don’t watch ‘real’ football (you know, like Bournemouth, ahem), and instead prefer those jumped up prima donnas and their petulant antics, then you might be interested to read a couple of things.
One, I’ve managed to secure an excellent footy tipster/writer, and am looking forward to welcoming him on board. Jonathan Turner is his name, and he’ll be writing a Friday column looking at the weekend action, starting within the next couple of weeks.
Thanks a million to those of you who emailed me expressing an interest in this position. I do plan to extend the sporting range of geegeez a little in future, though – as the name demands – we’ll be keeping a tight primary focus on the sport of kings!
The second item I wanted to highlight on this subject is the latest ‘no brainer’ offer from BetVictor.
They’re offering a free bet to all customers placing a treble on the Premier League footy this weekend, to be placed on a treble on next weekend’s Premier League games. That’s pretty cool, and here’s how I’ve played it.
I’m backing Chelsea to beat Hull (duh!), Arsenal to beat Aston Villa (though I expect this to be quite close), and West Brom to beat Southampton, which is the fixture to make the bet.
They’ve signed Nicolas Anelka – who knows a bit about scoring in the Premier League despite now qualifying for his bus pass – and Matyj Vydra, a chap who scored 22 goals for Watford last term. One thing is for sure: that game will NOT be 0-0!
The treble pays a top-priced 3.22/1.
This offer is available to both new and existing customers and it’s easily the best ‘new season’ special I’ve seen.

Finally today, I wanted to give you a quick update on the next phase of the racecards project. We’re working on various ‘filters’ that make it easier to look at the relevant lines in a horse’s overall form profile, i.e. those that relate to today’s conditions. Things are coming along quite well, and this is just one component of a pretty packed – and super-exciting – delivery, which I really hope will be in place by the end of the month.
I’d say it’s probably the most exciting development ever on geegeez, and I hope you’ll agree when you see it in full. For now, though, here’s a quick screenshot of how the full horse form filters look in beta (still need a bit of cosmetic surgery too).
Have a great weekend!
Matt
