Wednesday Wound-Up

A rare midweek round up for you, dear reader, as I ask for some help with an exciting project; share some details of what else is lurking on the site just now; and bring you a blast from the past with a post well worth a read/watch.

Let’s get started!

As you’ll know, I’ve been working on some new bits of kit for geegeez over the last few months (all year, in truth!) and they’re very nearly there. In fact, so close are they now that I’m looking for a couple of people with a couple of hours to help me test them out. To qualify, you must be free this afternoon. Ping me an email if this is something you’d like to help with, on info@geegeez.co.uk – thanks!

UPDATE: Blimey! Thanks so much – I’ve had about twenty replies in less than half an hour, and will be taking my volunteers from that group. Thanks a squillion for your interest.

Here’s the latest racecards screenshot…

Now then, there’s a lot of things happening on geegeez all the time, and I am conscious that it’s not the easiest site to navigate at the moment (something else which needs working on). So, allow me to tell you about some of the things which are online right now:

 – We now have more betting system and service reviews on geegeez than for over two years. You can see what we’re currently reviewing, and how they’re getting on, here.

Two which are well worth a look are Pure Winners and UK Racing Lays.

 – On the tipping side, I’ve decided to make the placepot posts into a daily meeting review. They will of course still feature a placepot perm, but I’ll be taking time to highlight horses I think have a good chance too. Yesterday, I only highlighted a couple, and backed one, which was Finn Class. Available at 9/2 when I posted – and bet – it returned 6/4 favourite! And won.

I’m also trying to get those preview posts up earlier, ideally by 10.30am, but other time constraints (including child minding!) mean that’s not always possible. Do follow @geegeez_uk on twitter to get notified when new content is posted on site.

Stat of the Day has started in fine form this month with a couple of nice priced winners too.

 – For those of you who like your trainer trends, Andy’s been hard at it highlighting the trainers in flying form and they can be seen in his Trainer Stats piece.

 – Plus, there are thought-provoking pieces from Tony Keenan on the Mullins domination of Irish racing; and from Ben Aitken, with his latest Badly Drawn Horse observations.

 – And for those who like to share your tips, why not get involved in our September tipping league competition? Katweazel was August’s winner, netting himself a £100 free bet in the process, and he was followed by Pieman and Nuts666, both of whom also have free bets coming their way.

September’s comp has only just started and Katweazel is again the man to catch. You’ve got a full four weeks to do that, and surely his good run can’t go on forever?!

And finally, as they say, I’ve got a post from the archives for you. In this one, you can watch a 90 minute video on how to create your own betting systems, or find your own profitable angles. Obviously, if you’re at work or wherever, then maybe have a look later. But this one was very well received when I first posted it back in June last year, and you might enjoy it (everything is still as relevant now as it was then).

Here’s the ‘How to Bet On Horses’ post.

Have a great day!

Matt

p.s. I’ll be in touch tomorrow on a slightly different subject, but one very close to my heart, so do look out for an email about that. 🙂

p.p.s. Give me a shout if you can help this afternoon.

p.p.p.s. I hope you think the new font is a bit more readable than the old one… leave a comment if you do… or don’t!!!
