Double Dutch: the 30-day Verdict
Double Dutch: the 30-day Verdict
Friday’s selections secured a double at 12.13/1 for us to end the initial 30-day trial period on a high note.
At face value, the bare stats don’t tell the whole story really.
8 winning doubles in 30 days represents a fairly low strike rate of just 26.67%, whilst the loss of 10.22pts from our overall stakes of 58.5pts is the equivalent of losing almost 17.5% of our money.
However, it should be pointed out that, after a very shaky (some would say poor!) start (just one win in the first 13 days and only two in 18 days) we have begun to find our feet with this one.
Since the 23rd September, we have landed 6 doubles in 12 days for profits of 13.12pts, or 54.67% of stakes.
The upshot of all this is that neither myself or Matt are happy with the overall performance and it cannot be considered a succcess as it stands. However, the recent performances lead us to believe that it would also be too soon to write this off as a failure.
Therefore the decision has been made to extend the trial until 30th October, which then gives us a full 8 weeks worth of results and it’s my last day at work before my holidays, which is an ideal break point.
Basically, we know that many of you like the feature, win lose or draw and we’re happy to continue providing the selections.
