Geegeez Readers Only: Exciting New Betting Report

I hate January. It’s just a bit, well, rubbish, isn’t it? Everyone’s skint after spending too much on stuff they probably shouldn’t have over Christmas, the racing hits a hug lull after its own Christmas excess, and it’s cold and very wet outside. So, how about some January cheer?

First, let me tell you about the trio of profit pinchers I’ve pulled together. Each of them is focused on National Hunt racing, two of them all year round, and one is specifically a summer jumps number. The first of the trio focuses on horses that could be about to win again having spent some considerable time in the doldrums. It’s simple to follow, and the rules and logic are all fully explained and exemplified in the manual.

So what about the results? Well this is the system with the most qualifiers – on average 300 a year – and it’s already in front again this year.

Overall, since 2010, the results look like this:

That’s about 45 points profit a year. This can be slightly improved by using Best Odds Guaranteed bookmakers and taking the best early odds.

The second system is an old favourite of mine, which I’ve been using since 2009 in a couple of guises. It focuses on lightly weighted horses in handicap chases, and it is this system which was responsible for highlighting last year’s Aintree Grand National winner, Auroras Encore, at 66/1 (Betfair SP was 126/1!!!).

Both the original and the tweaked versions are included in the manual and you can use either or both, though there will be a lot of cutover of selections, of course.

Here are the results for the tweaked version, since 2006:

Notice that there was a losing year, in 2012, and also note that this is a low strike rate system. That’s as you’d expect given that it’s found winners at 66/1, 33/1 twice, 28/1 twice, and TEN more 20/1+ winners in the last few years! It is a great fun system, and I know some readers have been using the original version of this since back in 2009. 🙂

Backing the qualifiers each way, when they’re an each way price, has seen a 24% win and place strike rate, with over 100% return on investment. So, for those who like to hit the pay window often to keep their interest, that is probably a more stable route to play this one.

And that brings me to system three, which is the simplest of all. It is a single trainer, under one particular criterion. He’s quite a well known person in racing, though not necessarily for training horses. And he is definitely one to keep note of. In fact, he’s one of a very small handful of trainers on my shortlist for the next geegeez syndicate horse. That’s how highly I rate him!

There are only thirty to forty qualifiers a year with this one, which makes it a perfect portfolio addition, and it probably works best as an each way system using Best Odds Guaranteed. That said, it works bloody well as a straight win system too, for those who can work with lower strike rates.

System 3 Results

A one in three place strike rate and 147% ROI may be unsustainable, but the market has a loooong way to go before they cotton on to this fellow. So there’s plenty of hay to be made before the sun stops shining!

Collectively, these three horse racing systems have profited to the tune of 480 points over the last four years. That’s £1,200 a year for £10 level stakes.
