Stat of the Day : Update

Stat of the Day Update: 20/01/14 to 26/01/14

After the previous week’s whitewash of six losing bets from six, SotD’s fortunes, as tends to be the case, got worse before they got better!

However, after a run of 10 consecutive defeats, I signed off for a family weekend away with a nice 17/2 winner. Admittedly, my mind got the better of me and I only went E/W, but the 5.1pts profit on the day instantly recouped half of the losses from the bad run and it got us off the cold list.

Then, also as often is the case, when myself and Matt swap seats, another winner comes along and so it proved to be the case on Saturday as Wishfull Thinking turned out to be much more than that, running out a 9/1 winner and Matt was unlucky not to give SotD its third win in three days on Sunday as the well-backed Trinityelitedotcom (5/4 fav from our advised 3/1!) went down to a half-length defeat in the final 100 yards.

All of which means January is now guaranteed to be yet another profitable month for SotD. At worst, we’ll make 5.88pts (20.3% ROI) for the month, but I’ve still got five days to increase those figures.
