Special Cheltenham Doubles – Today Only
SkyBet are taking advantage of a slow news day to offer some special enhanced priced Festival doubles. They have the following on offer, but only until 11pm this evening:
Our Conor (Champion Hurdle) & Sprinter Sacre (Champion Chase) Both To Win 11/1 – matched best price for the double anywhere, BUT SkyBet are Non-Runner No Bet, meaning the remaining leg would be settled as a single or, if both didn’t start, it’s money back.
Our Conor (Champion Hurdle) & Sire De Grugy (Champion Chase) Both To Win 25/1 – best price elsewhere is 21.5/1, AND SkyBet are Non-Runner No Bet, meaning the remaining leg would be settled as a single or, if both didn’t start, it’s money back.

Enhanced odds with SkyBet
Our Conor (Champion Hurdle) & Big Buck’s (World Hurdle) Both To Win 22/1 – best price elsewhere is 20/1, AND SkyBet are Non-Runner No Bet, meaning the remaining leg would be settled as a single or, if both didn’t start, it’s money back.
Our Conor (Champion Hurdle) & Bobs Worth (Gold Cup) Both To Win 20/1 – best price elsewhere is 18.5/1, AND SkyBet are Non-Runner No Bet, meaning the remaining leg would be settled as a single or, if both didn’t start, it’s money back.
Our Conor (Champion Hurdle) & Silviniaco Conti (Gold Cup) Both To Win 30/1 – best price elsewhere is 26/1, AND SkyBet are Non-Runner No Bet, meaning the remaining leg would be settled as a single or, if both didn’t start, it’s money back.
Obviously, SkyBet are trying to ‘get’ Our Conor, and the Champion Hurdle is a fiendishly difficult puzzle. But Our Conor goes in any ground and has improved from his first to second starts this season. Moreover, with Annie Power being backed for the World Hurdle, her defection would shorten Our Conor’s odds too.
The point here is that you have to take a view, in one of two ways:
1. Do you think Our Conor will win? If you do, then help yourself to whichever of the above suits you best.
2. Do you think Our Conor will be shorter on the day? If you do, then there is value pairing him with anything else you believe will be shorter on the day.
Personally, I think Our Conor will be around the 5/1 mark – i.e. roughly the price he is now. But I do think that one or both of the top two in the Gold Cup market will shorten, and so I’m having a little interest double on the 20/1 and 30/1 shots, Our Conor with either Bobs Worth or Silviniaco Conti.
