Double Dutch, 5th April 2014
A scorching double yesterday, as Boston Bob rewarded the leapers of faith, and the outsider of the two in the novice hunter chase prevailed, the pair fifty lengths (!) clear of the only other finisher.
Thursday’s results were as follows:
Boston Bob: won at 5/1 (adv 17/2, Rule 4 of 15p in £)
Wishfull Thinking: 8th at 9/2 (adv 11/2, Rule 4 of 15p in £)
Shales Rock: won at 3/1 (adv 2/1)
Silver Token: 2nd at 10/11 (adv 5/4)
Results to date:
204 winning selections from 699 = 29.18%
69 winning bets in 183 days = 37.7%
P/L : +77.94pts (+21.41% ROI)
I’m really pushed for time today, but the below pair of races have two strong profile types that stand out against the rest.
REMINDER: THERE IS NO DOUBLE DUTCH ON SUNDAYS
This is a four horse race in essence, where Next Sensation is going to go off at a scorching pace – he’s a super exciting horse to watch, so do check this out if you get a chance – and he’ll be at the end of his rope in the last quarter mile. There, I expect the classy trio of Trifolium, Hinterland and Balder Succes to come through, and I’m hopeful that the latter pair will fight out the finish.
Tellovoi and Gworn are both course and class winners, and at this rarefied level (relatively, it’s a Class 3 at Wolves), that counts for a lot. With Oisin Murphy booked for Tellovoi and Jamie Spencer aboard Gworn, we also have the two best jockeys, and 7/2 and 9/4 respectively is all right.
4 x 0.5pt BOG doubles, as follows:
Hinterland / Gworn @ 12/1 (3/1 & 9/4 : Bet365)
Hinterland / Tellovoi @ 17/1 (3/1 & 7/2 : Coral)
Balder Succes / Gworn @ 15.25/1 (4/1 & 9/4 : PP)
Balder Succes / Tellovoi @ 19.25/1 (7/2 & 7/2 : Betfair sportsbook)
