4.45 Lingfield:

Forceful Appeal gets the nod based on his excellent course record at Lingfield. He’s won five of his nine starts here now, which attests to his excellent turn of pace. He has risen up the classes as a consequence, and today’s Class 3 might be his limit.

But the key to Forceful Appeal is pace in the race. There was none when he was a never nearer sixth last time, but there look to be three horses at least that want to get on with it this afternoon. If he can stay within five lengths of a searching gallop, he’ll run on to some effect and, at 15/2, he’s worth an each way play to end the week.

That said, Hayley Turner takes the ride and she actually made all to win over course and distance on him a couple of years ago, so maybe he’ll try to blitz them from the front – he’s well drawn for that too, in box one.

It’s an open looking race, but Forceful Appeal has shown a predilection for today’s conditions, and can run into the frame at least. 15/2, eachway, with bet365 BOG.
