On the face of it, just one winner from six attempts doesn’t look like a great week for me here at SotD, but I assure you that I’m more pleased than you might think I’d be.

Yes, I’d want a better strike rate, but there are plenty of positives to take from the week’s selections. Monday’s runner was beaten by less than two lengths in a blanket finish, we’d three placers in addition to our winner and there was a career best run from Thursday’s selection. All in all, a pretty satisfying set of performances.

Once again, we did well against SP, securing the early value and this meant, that despite a 15% deduction via Rule 4 on our only winner, we still made a profit on the week. Of course, 0.52pts isn’t going to make us rich, nor is it spectacular, but profit is profit and this still actually represents an 8.67% return on our stakes, which beats my savings account!
