Stat of the Day, 25th July 2014
Chris has wandered off into the sunset (for a few days) with his swag bag over his shoulder, in search of some Moroccan sunshine. So, in his well earned absence, it’s me – Matt – in the chair for the next week and a half.

A fairly competitive five furlong sprint handicap closes out the opening day of Ascot’s three day King George meeting. And, although it’s not the sort of race I’d normally get involved with, there is much to like about the chance of Robert Cowell’s Iffranesia.
Firstly, the daughter of Iffraaj has an extremely admirable win rate – she’s prevailed in six of her eleven contests since transferring to Britain from France. A 1pt win bet on Iffranesia at 9/2 BOG is the call. BetVictor, Coral and SkyBet all hold that price at time of writing, but do…
