Well, that really was a week to forget, wasn’t it?

The highlight came via a typically gutsy performance from an old warrior who finished 3rd at 10/1 on Monday and that half-point was the only profit we made all week.

Tuesday to Friday inclusive was horrendously disappointing all round, but some solace was drawn by a better performance shown by a runner-up on the Saturday and the fact that Monday’s result prevented a loss on the month overall.

A final profit of 0.3pts for the month isn’t spectacular, but for me to have wiped my face after a difficult month was actually quite pleasing. September is now upon us and I hope and expect to do better.
