Double Dutch Monthly Update : April 2015
Every day on the Double Dutch, we give you the running total of where the service stands with regards to winners, strike rates, profit/loss and the ROI, but we think it might be handy for you (whilst possibly a rod for our own backs!) to have a review of the previous month to see the current form.
So, this is how April 2015 panned out for us…
We had 26 days of action (we take Sundays off!) and after 5 of our selections became non-runners, we were left with 99 selections, of which 31 were winners at a strike rate of 31.31%. This is a bit higher than our overall strike rate, as you’ll see shortly, probably by about three winners more than expected.
Our 31 winners over 26 days could therefore have manifested itself into a minimum of five winning doubles at all, if we’d been really unlucky or a maximum of 15 winners, so our 11 successful doubles is slightly above average and actually quite a bit higher than past performance at a 42.31% strike rate, which is probably around 2 wins more than our average suggests we’d get.
Yet despite achieving better results than expected, we saw more favourites winning in April, which actually meant a loss on the month, but that’ tends to be the case for many tipping services in April!
We staked 52pts across the month and our returns of 46.27pts made for a loss of 5.73pts at an ROI of -11.02%, but we’re entering May with almost 100pts in the bank.
31 winning selections from 99 = 31.31%
11 winning bets in 26 days = 42.31%
P/L : -5.73pts (-11.02% ROI)
And Overall :
562 winning selections from 1960 = 28.67%
176 winning bets in 508 days = 34.65%
P/L : +99.04pts (+9.75% ROI)
