Stat of the Day, 22nd August 2015
A poor show from Waddington Hero yesterday as he toiled away to a defeat by over 30 lengths and he was pretty easy to back pre-race too, drifting out to 4/1 at the off, after we’d taken 7/2 about him.
He looked pretty tired at the end and I felt the same way last night after an early start and all the travelling, which is why we’re running late today!
With the tardiness in mind, I’ll crack straight on with the selection, who runs in the..
Where Clive Brittain’s 3yr old filly, Amazing Charm, is priced up at 3/1 BOG with both Bet365 and BetVictor for this 9f, Class 5 maiden and she’ll be aiming to improve her handler’s decent record on this track since it opened as Great Leighs.
Overall, Clive’s runners here are 8/48 (16.7% SR) for 25pts at an ROI of 52.1% with those priced at 10/1 or shorter winning 7 of 23 (30.4% SR) for 24.3pts (+105.7% ROI).
His 3 yr olds are 7/30 (23.3% SR) for 33pts (+110% ROI) here, whilst his female runners are 3/15 (20% SR) for 27.2pts (181.4% ROI) and all that makes his 3yo females 2 from 9 (22.2% SR) for 23.2pts at an ROI of 257.7%.
Amazing Charm showed considerable promise when making a debut as a runner-up, beaten by just half a length at Nottingham eight days ago and is now switched to the A/W for the first time today.
Since 2008, Clive Brittain’s runners making a first start on the A/W after less than 10 runs on turf are 15/63 (23.8% SR) for 33.1pts (+52.5 % ROI) when priced at 7/4 to 10/1.
Of those 63 runners, 3 yr olds are 10/40 (25% SR) for 24.4pts (+60.9% ROI), females are 9/37 (24.3% SR) for 22.1pts (+59.7% ROI) and three year old females are 6/23 (26.1% SR) for 17.7pts (+76.9% ROI).
I’ve taken 3/1 BOG from Bet365, but for a full overview of the market…
