Double Dutch, 4th September 2015
If Double Dutch was a striker at a new club, it might be said that it couldn’t hit a cow’s a**e with a banjo… Yesterday was another loser and we really do need to change in our fortunes soon to keep the ledger happy.

Justice Law : 2nd at 7/4 (adv 9/4)
Bell Heather : 3rd at 7/1 (adv 11/2)
Whatdoiwantthatfor : 2nd at 11/4 (adv 3/1)
Mayfair Lady : 4th at 5/4 (adv 6/4)

REMINDER: THERE IS NO DOUBLE DUTCH ON SUNDAYS
Two on the beach this evening…
Saeed bin Suroor is a trainer in top form at the moment, and James Doyle is the main beneficiary. The pair are six from sixteen in the past fortnight, and unite for two rides tonight at Kempton (as well as two at Ascot this afternoon). The first of the Kempton pair is on Silent Attack, a well bred son of excellent sprinter, Dream Ahead. He’s got a good draw in five for this first run, and the trainer has a 31% strike rate with 2yo first time at the track in the last five years.
Against him, the form pick is Dark Shot. Twice raced, he was second to Vibrant Chords at Salisbury last time, in a race where the third – four lengths back – has won his only start since. His wide draw is a bit of a worry but he has experience, something most in this field do not.
An hour later, bin Suroor and Doyle will be at it again, this time in a handicap. Last time out winner, Khusoosy, steps up a grade and a furlong, but he looked to need all of the ten furlongs last time. Winner of three of his last four, he’s clearly progressive and may take this in his stride.
If he doesn’t, another in-form handler may be the one to cut him down. James Fanshawe has been in great fettle with five of his 14 runners in the last two weeks going in, and another three hitting the board. Landwade Lad is his representative here and, like Khusoosy, he has a fast time to his name and won last time out. That was over course and distance so there are no stamina reservations. Like Khusoosy, he also steps up from Class 4 to Class 3 and, like that one, we’ll have to see if he’s good enough. With Fanshawe in such good form, he’s worth the chance.
4 x 0.5pt BOG doubles as follows:
