Before I post the daily selection, just a quick reminder of how I operate the service. Generally, I’ll identify and share the selection in the evening before the following day’s race and I then add a detailed write-up later on that night/next morning.
Those happy to take the early price on trust can do so, whilst some might prefer to wait for my reasoning. As I fit the early service in around my family life, I can’t give an exact timing on the posts, so I suggest you follow us on Twitter and/or Facebook for instant notifications of a published pick.
Westwood Hoe @ 3/1 BOG
Quite often, I find it difficult to decide which horse to go with for SotD from a shortlist of possibles. However it has been tough to find a suitably priced one for you from just two A/W meetings with average field size of less of seven per race!
However, I think we’ve a decent chance here with a hat-trick seeker who is only raised 2lbs from a course and distance success 24 days ago. That was a Class 2 contest where he was drawn 11 of 11, but he’s now in stall 4 and dropping a grade, so a 2lb rise shouldn’t be insurmountable.
The data surrounding the selection is as follows…
Trainer Tony Coyle‘s runners on the A/W over the last three years have won 14 of 97 races (14.4% SR) for profits of 63.1pts at an ROI of 65%, of which…
- those going left handed are 12/84 (14.3% SR) for 56.2pts (+66.9% ROI)
- those who last ran 6 to 60 days ago are 11/65 (16.9% SR) for 68.8pts (+105.9% ROI)
- and those running left handed 6-60 days after their last effort are 10/59 (17% SR) for 57.8pts (+98% ROI)
Jockey Tom Queally has ridden 33 winners from 225 (14.7% SR) rides on male horses on this track over the last 7 years, broken down as follows…
- Class 3 to 6 races : 30/209 (14.4% SR) for 51.4pts (+24.6% ROI)
- Horses aged 3 to 7 : 31/178 (17.4% SR) for 78.3pts (+44% ROI)
- Trips of 7 to 10 furlongs : 23/136 (16.9% SR) for 67.3pts (+49.5% ROI)
And our horse? Westwood Hoe has finished 2211 in his four A/W races and is 1 from 1 here courtesy of that Class 2 C&D success 24 days ago, taking his record at this trip to 3 from 3, whilst his career record going left handed reads 221211.
And my recommended bet, based on my data and prices available at 10.30pm is…
A 1pt win bet on Westwood Hoe and that’s at 3/1 BOG with any one of Bet365, BetVictor Coral and/or Hills, whilst Betway also offer 3/1 BOG but don’t/won’t go BOG until the morning, so for your preferred bookies’ offering, simply…
