SotD Update, 25th to 30th January 2016

A complete wipeout of a week is never welcome, but when it’s the last week of the month and you only need one winner to guarantee profitability for the month, it’s a right kick in the teeth, I can tell you.

A combination of some poor decision makng on my part (ignoring a couple of possibly better picks) and some rank performances by fancied runners means we ended January with a loss of 3.52pts, but not only am I grateful for the tolerance/patience most of you are displaying, I’d also like to ressure you that if you lose 3.52pts following my selections, I also lose 3.52pts!

I’m not just picking horses out with “half a chance”, I genuinely believe there’s a distinct possibilty of a payout from each of them and I’d NEVER ask you to put money on a horse I’m not prepared to back myself. I’ve had these difficult passages of time in the past, I’ll have them in the future, but we always come out of them in the end.
