Monday’s Result :

4.00 Hexham: Flaming Thistle @ 4/1 BOG WON at 9/2 (Led until 3rd, prominent, led 12th, 4 lengths clear last, stayed on, ridden out)

She doesn’t have a lot of runners at Sedgefield, but Pauline Robson makes them count. In the last five years, Robson has run just six horses at the County Durham track, with four of them winning. Three were the same horse, but that didn’t stop John Hodge and his Flaming Thistle winning yesterday!

This time, Ms Robson saddles Teo Viva, a horse who looks very well suited to conditions. He’s won three of his eight races on soft ground, and returns to Class 3 after a fair attempt in higher grade last time. His form in Class 3 on soft ground reads 221, with the more recent second being a very good run behind the talented Holly Bush Henry.

Overall soft ground form of 83312121 adds further appeal to his case, as does the fact that Robson has won with one of her two runners in the past fortnight, and two of her five runners in the past month.

Teo Viva is currently a general 5/1 chance, and that looks good. One point win, 5/1 BOG, with your preferred bookmaker.
