Tuesday’s Result :

8.00 Huntingdon : Frontier Vic @ 7/2 BOG non-runner (withdrawn at 5.54pm, due to a quickening of the original going).

Tuesday’s pick goes in the…

5.15 Bath :

Before I post the daily selection, just a quick reminder of how I operate the service. Generally, I’ll identify and share the selection in the evening before the following day’s race and I then add a detailed write-up later on that night/next morning.

Those happy to take the early price on trust can do so, whilst some might prefer to wait for my reasoning. As I fit the early service in around my family life, I can’t give an exact timing on the posts, so I suggest you follow us on Twitter and/or Facebook for instant notifications of a published pick.

Zeeoneandonly at 3/1 BOG.

In the week since last Tuesday’s meeting here at Bath, David Evans’ runners have continued to impress with his 8 Flat entrants returning 2 wins and 6 other placed finishes and he’ll be expecting to maintain/improve those figures here with one of last week’s winners Zeeoneandonly.

This 3yr old filly won a Class 5 handicap at Salisbury 6 days ago, just holding on to win by a neck and although she bears a penalty for that win, the task should be easier today, as she drops back in trip and goes on more suitable ground back amongst her own sex.

To date, she’s already won on her only previous visit to Bath (also over this C&D on quick ground), she’s 3 from 4 at odds shorter than 5/1, she’s 3 from 6 on the Flat at Class 5 and also 3 from 6 in fields of 10/11 runners. Zeeoneandonly has also won two of five starts when turned back out within 10 days of her last run  and won twice in six starts on turf under today’s jockey Philip Prince tends to make good use of his 3lb claim on the Evans string.

In fact, over the last 12 months, Philip has ridden 7 winners from 27 attempts on board David Evans’ Class 5/6 handicappers over trips of 5 to 6 furlongs with this niche angle’s 25.9% strike rate yielding level stakes profits of 77.4pts at a whopping ROI of 286.6%.

And as a former C&D winner who won last time out, there are more figures to support the nomination of Zeeoneandonly today, as since the start of 2012, David Evan’s handicappers who are former C&D winners and also won last time out (anywhere) are 17 from 81 (21% SR) for 39.4pts (+36.3% ROI), with the following of particular relevance today…

  • those who won by 2 lengths or less are 13/62 (21% SR) for 34.4pts (+55.6% ROI)
  • those racing over trips of 5 to 6 furlongs are 8/32 (25% SR) for 23.5pts (+73.4% ROI)
  • female runners are 6/23 (26.1% SR) for 29.1pts (+26.3% ROI)
  • and three year olds are 3/14 (21.4% SR) for 10pts profit at an ROI of 71.6%

And thus the call is…a 1pt win bet on Zeeoneandonly at 3/1 BOG which was pretty widely available at 6.20pm. To see what your preferred firm is offering, simply…
