Race of the Day – 21 Sep

Race of the Day – 21:10 Kempton Park

The last race of the day at Kempton is a six furlong handicap with twelve runners currently.

This is such a tight race on the official ratings with just two pounds covering the entire field. However, looking at the Speed Ratings, Ocean Legend tops them with a mark of 63 with Oat Couture just behind on 59. These two are a little way clear of the remainder.

Silvestre De Sousa rides Indus Valley and anything he rides at the moment is worth a second look, given the amount of winners he is banging out currently.

Ocean Legend is the one runner that stands out on the Instant Expert tab, with two sections of green and two of amber on the win setting. It is interesting to note that he is ten pounds lower than his last winning mark, therefore if he can rediscover some kind of form he could be a bit of value at 10/1.

The Pace tab shows us that leaders here over this distance have a fairly useful record, with an almost 18% strike rate. Based on the past four runs, Ocean Legend and Arcanista look likely to be at the head of affairs with potentially Swendad as well.

Both of Ocean Legend and Arcanista are drawn low, and from looking at the Heat Map and Draw / Run Style Combinations it shows that low drawn horses that are right up with the pace have the best record.

We can see that a picture is starting to take shape with the horses we should be looking at to narrow down the field and find something with value.
