Race of the Day – 16 Nov

Race of the Day – 13:00 Warwick

Today we have quite a nice looking mares’ novices’ hurdle over two and a half miles.

Coco Des Champs makes her first start for Kim Bailey today, as can be seen from the letters TC after the horses name. If you click on these letters it will take you to a report which shows how trainers get on with horses they have acquired from another stable, on their first run. Bailey has a particularly good record, with six winners and ten placed horses from 22 runners over the past two years.

Looking at the Instant Expert tab on the place setting, it shows Chantara Rose to be really well suited by things here today. She has four sections of green and one of amber, which gives the impression that she has excellent place claims at 7/1.

Song Saa also stands out with four sections of green and one of grey, having never run at the course before.

Over 22% of horses that lead early on here in races over this distance go on to win, and it is interesting that there is definitely a lack of front runners in this field.

Lilly Of The Moor is one horse that is usually handy and looking at the past running style of the remainder, she may be allowed an easy lead and be able to dictate things at the front. She is capable of staying a lot further than today’s distance, therefore it is possible she will try and make this a real test of stamina.

Fergal O’Brien has been in really good form of late, as can be seen by looking at the Trainer Statistics report (which is free to all users on a Wednesday). He has ten winners from his last 36 runners (27.78%) for a level stakes profit of 49.88.  Troubled Soul is his runners in this race and he’s currently priced around 15/2.
