Race of the Day – 21 Mar
Race of the Day – 17:00 Southwell
We go to Southwell for Race of the Day, and a six furlong handicap for those rated 0-75.
Bring On A Spinner has a trainer and a jockey who both have good course form over the past five years, as can be seen from the green ‘C5’ below their respective names. If you click on the trainer or jockey icons below the horses name, you will be able to see this in more detail.
Daniel Loughrane, who runs Big Amigo in this race, has been in excellent current form. Over the past 30 days he’s had six winners (21.43%) and eleven places (39.29%) for level stakes profits of 33.75 and 35.13 respectively. He also has extremely good course form here at Southwell.
The Shortlist is the report that is free to all users on a Tuesday, and Bring On A Spinner has a full line of green, giving him a score of 15. This shows he is extremely well suited by the racing conditions here today, and may prove to be some value at a current price of around 7/1.
The Instant Expert report highlights how well suited Bring On A Spinner is to this race, and he is also just three pounds higher than for his last victory. It is interesting to see that he has a particular liking for Southwell, with four wins from his seven races here.
African Blessing also looks good on this report, with four sections of green. This is from a much smaller sample of races however, so I wouldn’t give as much weight to it.
The Pace report shows that early leaders have a very good record here over this distance. A little over 23% of them have gone on to win the race, for a massive level stakes profit of 432.25.
There are a few runners in this field that are usually away quickly, but from this report it appears that the most likely leaders are Coiste Bodhar and Bring On A Spinner, based on their last four races. Low and middle drawn horses have an advantage, and these two are drawn two and six, so that should also help.
