Race of the Day – 20:15 Kempton
They race over the marathon distance of two miles on the all weather surface at Kempton, and it’s a 0-65 handicap.
Treble Strike is trained by Dean Ivory, and he has a very good record with horses running over the staying distances. He’s had 12 winners (22.64%) and 21 places (39.62%) for level stakes profits of 20.88 and 20.51 respectively. This level of detail can be seen by clicking on the black trainer icon below the horses name.
Not too many of the runners show up particularly well on the Instant Expert report, however when on the ‘Place’ setting we can see that one of the outsiders Art History, has three sections of green and one of amber. He is nine years old now and doesn’t have a lot of recent racing behind him, but his mark is definitely on the low side and if he retains any of his old ability, 20/1 could be a big price.
Even though this race is being run over two miles, leaders here still have a good record. From 236 runners they have an almost 14% strike rate, for a level stakes profit of 48.19.
From looking at the Pace report we can see that there is no real standout front runner, therefore this could be a muddling pace, and as the Pace Prediction tentatively suggests, the race may be falsely run.
Trainer Statistics is free to all members on a Wednesday, and it’s a very useful report for showing which trainers are currently amongst the winners.
Chris Gordon has been in fantastic form over the past 30 days, enjoying 13 winners (50%) and 17 places (65.38%) from 26 runners, for level stakes profits of 31.93 and 43.91 respectively. He has just the one runner today, and that is Shalianzi, who has the very competent Luke Morris on board.
