Stat of the Day – 3rd April 2017.

Saturday’s Result

15:00 Doncaster: Crazy Horse @ 7/2 BOG 8th at 3/1 Towards rear, pushed along over 3f out, never dangerous.

Monday’s pick goes in the…

15:50 Huntingdon

Before I post the daily selection, just a quick reminder of how I operate the service. Generally, I’ll identify and share the selection in the evening before the following day’s race and I then add a detailed write-up later on that night/next morning.

Those happy to take the early price on trust can do so, whilst some might prefer to wait for my reasoning. As I fit the early service in around my family life, I can’t give an exact timing on the posts, so I suggest you follow us on Twitter and/or Facebook for instant notifications of a published pick.

Political Quiz @ 4/1

Political Quiz is a very useful looking hurdler when he has conditions in his favour, and I think things are looking good for him at Huntingdon today. Although he won last time out over three furlongs further, in my opinion two miles is his optimum distance, and the Lucarno gelding will take all the beating in this one.

The likely strong pace will definitely suit him, and he is very likely to be finishing the race strongest of all. Therefore as long as he stays with them and doesn’t get outpaced through the middle part of the race, he will be in a great position to pick them off one by one.

The following stats back up his case.

  • trainer Tom Symonds is 3/19 (15.79%) over the past 30 days for 13.8pts
  • over today’s distance he is 2/4 (50%) for 12.5pts
  • on today’s going he is 1/5 for 6pts
  • in this class of race he is 1/2 for 3pts

P.S. all P/L returns quoted in the stats are to Betfair SP, as (i) I NEVER bet to ISP and neither should you and (ii) although inferior to the BOG odds we secure, BFSP is the nearest approximation I can give, so I actually expect to beat the returns quoted.
