Friday’s pick goes in the…
Before I post the daily selection, just a quick reminder of how I operate the service. Generally, I’ll identify and share the selection in the evening before the following day’s race and I then add a detailed write-up later on that night/next morning.
Those happy to take the early price on trust can do so, whilst some might prefer to wait for my reasoning. As I fit the early service in around my family life, I can’t give an exact timing on the posts, so I suggest you follow us on Twitter and/or Facebook for instant notifications of a published pick.
Profitable @ 5/2 BOG
This excellent five-year-old out of Invincible Spirit has been running well without being able to get his head in front. His last win the in the King’s Stand Stakes at the Royal meeting last year, however, conditions have come good for him here today and I expect a bold run.
He clearly revels in softer conditions and actually ran a fine race last time when almost defending his title as Ascot, beaten only by the brilliant Lady Aurelia on ground that was very fast.
The following stats back up today’s selection:
- he has form figures of 5,10,1,1,1 on going that has soft in the description for 30.0 pts
- over five furlongs he is 5/15 (33.33%0 for 36.4pts (this also includes six second placed finishes)
- in Group 2 company he is 4/11 (36.36%) for 46pts
- trainer Clive Cox for the last 14 days is 6/20 (30%) for 9pts
- when looking at the head to head stats he has previously beaten seven of today’s rivals
…giving us…a 1pt win bet on Profitable @ 5/2 BOG which was widely available at 7.00pm on Wednesday. To see what your preferred bookie is offering, simply…
Don’t forget, we offer a full interactive racecard service every day!
REMINDER: THERE IS NO STAT OF THE DAY ON SUNDAYS
P.S. all P/L returns quoted in the stats above are to Betfair SP, as I NEVER bet to ISP and neither should you. I always use BOG bookies for SotD, wherever possible, but I use BFSP for the stats as it is the nearest approximation I can give, so I actually expect to beat the returns I use to support my picks. If that’s unclear, please ask!
