Wednesday’s Result :
19:45 Yarmouth – Whispered Kiss @ 5/2 BOG – Won Made all, going well 2f out, soon clear, unchallenged op 4/5
Thursday’s pick goes in the…
Before I post the daily selection, just a quick reminder of how I operate the service. Generally, I’ll identify and share the selection in the evening before the following day’s race and I then add a detailed write-up later on that night/next morning.
Those happy to take the early price on trust can do so, whilst some might prefer to wait for my reasoning. As I fit the early service in around my family life, I can’t give an exact timing on the posts, so I suggest you follow us on Twitter and/or Facebook for instant notifications of a published pick.
Who?
Prendergast Hill @ 5/1 BOG
Why?
Prendergast Hill has been running consistently without getting his head in front, with his form for the last five races reading 23232.
He has been running over a variety of trips and was stepped up to a mile and a half last time out at Doncaster, which really appeared to suit him. He ran a cracking race from today’s mark to finish second, on ground that was officially soft, and a return to good to firm ground today at the same distance will help.
The following stats back up today’s selection:
- trainer Ed De Giles in handicaps is 47/310 (15.16%) for 35.81 pts
- with flat staying runners he’s 12/61 (19.67%) for 81.75 pts
- jockey Callum Shepherd over the past 14 days is 3/16 (18.75%) for 13.75 pts
- his sire Raven’s Pass with staying runners is 17/119 (14.29%) for 26.13 pts

REMINDER: THERE IS NO STAT OF THE DAY ON SUNDAYS
P.S. all P/L returns quoted in the stats above are to Betfair SP, as I NEVER bet to ISP and neither should you. I always use BOG bookies for SotD, wherever possible, but I use BFSP for the stats as it is the nearest approximation I can give, so I actually expect to beat the returns I use to support my picks. If that’s unclear, please ask!
