Monday’s pick goes in the…
Before I post the daily selection, just a quick reminder of how I operate the service. Generally, I’ll identify and share the selection in the evening before the following day’s race and I then add a detailed write-up later on that night/next morning.
Those happy to take the early price on trust can do so, whilst some might prefer to wait for my reasoning. As I fit the early service in around my family life, I can’t give an exact timing on the posts, so I suggest you follow us on Twitter and/or Facebook for instant notifications of a published pick.
Who?
Chiefofchiefs @ 10/3 BOG
Why?
Charlie Fellowes is a man you should have on your radar by now. He’s one of that rare breed of handlers who is profitable to follow blindly. Although that statement may not be true for much longer – he’s currently 66/454 for +2.45 in his career – the handicap side of things looks a lot rosier:
Charlie Fellowes in handicaps: 50/284 (17.61% SR) for 64.5 points (22.71% ROI)
At Windsor, his record is 5 from 21, and in handicaps at the Berkshire track he’s two from nine (+2.5, 27.8% ROI).
Stevie Donohoe has ridden ten of the Windsor 21, and won on three of the ten for a 6.38 unit profit (63.8% ROI).
Chiefofchiefs has been running with great credit over a mile but he actually broke his maiden over this course and distance (a mile and a quarter) five starts back. Since then he’s won twice more and his full form string is 32P121113.
Seemingly taking a while to get into gear over a mile last time, he’s stepped back up to the longer range for the first time since that maiden victory. Both horse and trainer remain in excellent form, as a rare trainer inline view of all black (i.e. no red negative P/L’s) attests.
Chiefofchiefs looks very likely to go close…

Don’t forget, we offer a full interactive racecard service every day!
REMINDER: THERE IS NO STAT OF THE DAY ON SUNDAYS
P.S. all P/L returns quoted in the stats above are to Betfair SP, as I NEVER bet to ISP and neither should you. I always use BOG bookies for SotD, wherever possible, but I use BFSP for the stats as it is the nearest approximation I can give, so I actually expect to beat the returns I use to support my picks. If that’s unclear, please ask!
