Thursday’s Result :

Next up is Friday’s…
Before I post the daily selection, just a quick reminder of how I operate the service. Generally, I’ll identify and share the selection in the evening before the following day’s race and I then add a detailed write-up later on that night/next morning.
Those happy to take the early price on trust can do so, whilst some might prefer to wait for my reasoning. As I fit the early service in around my family life, I can’t give an exact timing on the posts, so I suggest you follow us on Twitter and/or Facebook for instant notifications of a published pick.
Gracious John @ 10/3 BOG
A Class 2, 3yo+ Handicap over 5f on Tapeta worth £11,972 to the winner…
…featuring a 4 yr old gelding who has won two of his last three starts taking his A/W career record to
- 3 wins and a place from 7 efforts over the 5f minimum
- 4 wins and a place from 6 in December/January
- 3 wins and a place from 6 at Class 2
- and 1 from 1 under today’s jockey Fran Berry.
Fran himself is 4 from 16 (25% SR) for 12.83 pts (+80.2% ROI) on David Evans’ horses here at Wolverhampton (all in 2017!), with a 4/13 (30.8%) for 15.83pts (+121.8%) record in handicaps.
Of those 13 handicap contests, the team are 4/8 (50% SR) for 20.83pts (+260.4%) in November/December and 3/3 (100%) for 12.44pts (+414.7%) at odds of 4/1 and shorter.
This is also the only race on the card contested by a David Evans runner and since 2009, when sending just one to a track, he is 152/1119 (13.6% SR) for 207.4pts (+18.5% ROI).
And finally, it’s worth mentioning that Gracious John is top of the Geegeez Speed Ratings (see here) for this contest and blindly backing all top rated runners in 5f contests has proved to be quite profitable as documented here in our forum.
…which all points to… a 1pt win bet on Gracious John @ 10/3 BOG which was widely available at 8.10pm on Thursday, but those able to grab some 7/2 BOG from bet365 would be advised to do so. To see what your preferred bookie is offering, simply…
Don’t forget, we offer a full interactive racecard service every day!
REMINDER: THERE IS NO STAT OF THE DAY ON SUNDAYS
P.S. all P/L returns quoted in the stats above are to Betfair SP, as I NEVER bet to ISP and neither should you. I always use BOG bookies for SotD, wherever possible, but I use BFSP for the stats as it is the nearest approximation I can give, so I actually expect to beat the returns I use to support my picks. If that’s unclear, please ask!
