The Trainer Jockey Combo Stats report shows that Antony Brittain and Cam Hardie have been in excellent form together over the past 30 days. When teaming up they have managed five winners and places (27.78%) from 18 runners, for level stakes profits of 33.25 and 31.05 respectively and an Impact Value of 2.38.
They have just the one runner together at Southwell today, Sooqaan who goes in a seven-furlong handicap.
Sooqaan comes here on the back of an impressive hat-trick of victories, with the best performance being last time out when he effortlessly drew clear to win by four lengths.
He has been hit by a ten-pound hike in the weights for that win, and he also drops down to seven furlongs here today when his best form has been over further. He is running superbly well, however, and it would be no surprise to see him involved again in this.
Antony Brittain has been in good form recently and has been among the winners. Over the past 30 days, he’s had five winners and places (23.81%) from 21 runners, for level stakes profits of 30.25 and 25.05 respectively and an Impact Value of 2.04.
Over the past year here at Southwell he is 3/16 (18.75%) for 0.25 points and an Impact Value of 1.60.
Jockey Cam Hardie has been riding well and has an impressive looking recent record. Over the past month, he’s had six winners and places (23.08%) from 26 runners, for level stakes profits of 48.25 and 44.55 respectively and an Impact Value of 1.97.
Sooqaan doesn’t have a brilliant profile when looking at the Instant Expert report, having one section of green and one of amber. It does show that he appears to like racing here at Southwell, with four wins and two places to his name.
Queens Royale looks about the best on this report, with three sections of green and one of amber.
The Pace report shows that early leaders here over this distance have a good record, with 14.69% of them going on to win the race, for a level stakes profit of 71.25 and an Impact Value of 1.78.
Sooqaan has been racing prominently when he’s been winning his races and as he has a good draw in stall ten, I would expect Cam Hardie to get him out quickly and try and make this as much of a test of stamina as possible.
