Race of the Day – 15:50 Lingfield

Horses For Courses is the report that is available to all registered users on a Friday, and it shows that Sword Exceed has a good record at Lingfield. He has won three times (50%) and been placed five times (83.33%) from six races, for level stakes profits of 5.50 and 9.13 respectively.

Jockey Tom Marquand appears to enjoy racing at Lingfield. Over the last year, he has had 17 winners (14.41%) and 44 places (37.29%) from 118 runners, for excellent level stakes profits of 71.00 and 84.09 respectively and an Impact Value of 1.22.

The Instant Expert report shows that Sword Exceed is reasonably well suited to the conditions in this race, having three sections of green. As mentioned above, he is four pounds heavier than for his last victory but it’s something he looks capable of defying.

Silent Echo also looks good on this report, with four sections of green and is a nice price at around 10/1.

The Pace report shows that early leaders here over this distance have the best record, with 17.50% of them going on to win the race, for a level stakes profit of 15.75 and an Impact Value of 2.29.

Tavener is always quickly away and looks the likely leader from stall ten, whereas Sword Exceed likes to be held up and will try and swoop late again as he did to take the win last time out.
