We continue with Wednesday’s…
15:25 Southwell:
Before I post the daily selection, just a quick reminder of how I operate the service. Generally, I’ll identify and share the selection in the evening before the following day’s race and I then add a detailed write-up later on that night/next morning.
Those happy to take the early price on trust can do so, whilst some might prefer to wait for my reasoning. As I fit the early service in around my family life, I can’t give an exact timing on the posts, so I suggest you follow us on Twitter and/or Facebook for instant notifications of a published pick.
Who?
Kyllachys Tale @ 10/3 BOG
A Class 4, one-mile handicap on the all-weather at Southwell with nine runners…
Why?
Kyllachys Tale’s final two runs of 2017 were below par, but prior to that she looked very good and I’m hoping that having a rest over the winter and returning to a course she has previously won at will help to bring the best out in her.
The following stats are applicable to our selection.
- on the all-weather courses, she is 1/3 (33.33%) for 7 pts
- over today’s distance, she is 3/9 (33.33%) for 25 pts
- here at Southwell, she is 1/1 (100%) for 9 pts
- trainer Roger Teal over the past 14 days is 1/5 (20%) for 46 pts
- in handicaps, he is 26/220 (11.82%) for 39 pts
- with his middle distance runners, he is 10/102 (9.80%) for 15 pts
- jockey Silvestre De Sousa at Southwell over the past five years is 22/99 (22.22%) for 7.29 pts

REMINDER: THERE IS NO STAT OF THE DAY ON SUNDAYS
P.S. all P/L returns quoted in the stats above are to Betfair SP, as I NEVER bet to ISP and neither should you. I always use BOG bookies for SotD, wherever possible, but I use BFSP for the stats as it is the nearest approximation I can give, so I actually expect to beat the returns I use to support my picks. If that’s unclear, please ask!
