Before I post the daily selection, just a quick reminder of how I operate the service. Generally, I’ll identify and share the selection in the evening before the following day’s race and I then add a detailed write-up later on that night/next morning.
Those happy to take the early price on trust can do so, whilst some might prefer to wait for my reasoning. As I fit the early service in around my family life, I can’t give an exact timing on the posts, so I suggest you follow us on Twitter and/or Facebook for instant notifications of a published pick.
India @ 5/2 BOG
In a 6 runner Class 4 1m4f handicap, worth £6728 to the winner…
Michael Bell has a superlative record at Catterick which he bids to extend with the three-year-old filly, India. In the last five years at the north Yorkshire track, Bell has saddled 13 winners from 31 runners (41.94%) for a profit of 28.53 at SP (1.61 A/E, 3.61 IV).
The Newmarket handler has won with two of his last four Catterick raiders, including India, who prevailed in a course, distance, and going handicap by fully five lengths, with today’s rider David Allan on top that day. That was Class 5 and this is Class 4, but she ran well when second under similar conditions last time 17 days ago.
India has had just four runs in handicaps, three of which have been in the first two and she looks set to extend that sequence here…
… giving us a 1pt win bet on India at 5/2 BOG, a price offered by Paddy Power and Betfair as at 6.45pm on Tuesday evening.
Don’t forget, we offer a full interactive racecard service every day!
REMINDER: THERE IS NO STAT OF THE DAY ON SUNDAYS
P.S. all P/L returns quoted in the stats above are to Betfair SP, as I NEVER bet to ISP and neither should you. I always use BOG bookies for SotD, wherever possible, but I use BFSP for the stats as it is the nearest approximation I can give, so I actually expect to beat the returns I use to support my picks. If that’s unclear, please ask!
