SotD Update, 7th to 12th October 2019

A bit of deja vu this week, folks. Another blank week means we’ve got October off to a start that’s as dismal as (a) the weather and (b) the general quality of racing on offer.

That said, neither of those are to be used as excuses and every race I’ve played in has had a winner, I’ve just failed to find one of them.

There are areas of encouragement, I suppose. Three placers from my last four winners of the week, Misfits should have won on Saturday and I’ve actually had worse runs of form than this and always bounced back. Just as I never overplay a string of winners, or shout BOOOOOOM! across social media etc, I don’t get too down about a string of defeats.

We hit on average just over 13 winners per 50 bets, so we’re actually picking 19-20 losers every month on average, the plan is that the 6-7 winners we hit will more than cover the losses. The fact is that I’m not concerned if all the losses come at once, I’m confident that the winners will follow in time.

SotD is a stat-based service, requiring you to believe that if xyz has happened in the past, it will happen again, hence me suggesting that as the past has shown me to have a string of losses followed by a purple patch on several occasions, that it will happen again…
